Default Civil Defence Cloth Insignia Book

Back in 1993 I wrote a small book on wartime CD cloth insignia entitled A People's Army which explained its origins and use and was illustrated with original cloth badges in colour.

I have just ordered a facsimile reprint of what is still the only book covering wartime CD badges and it will be available shortly. Cover price is £25 with postage of your choice. I will quote various postage costs when I have the finished article in my hands, hopefully by next week.

If you would like to reserve a copy PM me and I will let you know when they are available.

Any other questions please ask

Jon

Jon,

Will it be a bound book or loose pages in a binder?

regards

I have the original.

Is this an exact facsimile, or have you added any information that has come to light in the last 24 years?

Simon,

Sorry, thought I had already answered. Senior moment.

The reprint will be comb bound, exactly the same form as the original making it easy to remove and redistribute/interleave pages and notes as required and put it into a binder of your choice.

Short answer, No. I would like to update it and it's on my To Do List but at the moment not possible.

It's an exact copy of the original book but as quite a lot of collectors might not have seen it I thought it worthwhile to do a limited reprint.

Blimey, have I been collecting badge books that long?

seriously though, a worthy reference volume to grace the shelves.
