RAOC Theatre made 1943

Hi

I am posting this recently purchased RAOC badge for your comments.
My main area of collecting is Anodised cap badges but having served for 23 years mostly in the RAOC I do have a reasonable collection of RAOC badges as well.

The makers mark, i have not seen before. T R & SONS

I am assuming that it is Theatre made (possibly in India)

I have one too, and had another which I sold on. I have it recorded as an official purchase, in quantity, at regimental level, but can't now find where that information came from. Mike_2817 may well know. As a result they are not particularly uncommon. Nice though to have a 'theatre made' badge with provenance as genuine. Mike

These badges were theatre made and ordered at Base Ordnance Level on RAOC contract for many Middle & Far Easton units due to regimental badges have a very low shipping priority

I have one to the quality of mojob123's example.
