Default E (Lothians and Border Yeomanry) Squadron (Scottish and North Irish Yeomanry)

Hi Guys,

I just came across this squadron on the UK MOD website.

E (Lothians and Border Yeomanry) Squadron (Scottish and North Irish Yeomanry)

Can anyone tell me what insignia they wear?

I presume the beret badge is that of the Scottish and North Irish Yeomanry. What about collars? Do they wear the old Lothians and Border Horse collars?

Mick

Just bumping this one up.

Does anyone have any information about what badges this squadron wears?

Hi Mick, The Army Dress Committee in March 2014 considered designs for the cap badge, TRF, stable belt, blue beret and rank slides and approved
them all with the exception of the TRF for B (North Irish Horse) Squadron which had the proposed addition of the Maid of Erin. The Committee discussed at length creating the precedent of authorising a TRF for a sub-unit but
although recognising the unique situation of B (North Irish Horse) Sqn, the Committee did not consider there was sufficient justification. The Committee also considered and approved the proposed design of collar badges for the new Sqn - HQ (Lothians and Border Yeomanry) Squadron.
Decision approved in part by ADC. Decision 4303

The Collars are the garb with a scroll below the bulbous bit with the word YEOMANRY. As far as I know, these are still to materialize. As a collector of L&BH I'm keen to see / get a pair.

You'll all probably be aware that the Blue beret mentioned above was swapped with the Grey beret of the SCOTS DG in August last year.

Thanks Mike!

I also PM'ed the Unit via their Facebook page this morning and they advised that the collar badges are yet to be issued.

I'd also be after a set.
