Default 8th Middlesex cloth badge

On the face of it a simple badge in the regiment's colours but when worn?

Not WW2 as it would have been a security breach. Between 1947 and 1956 the Bn served as 11 Para, reverting to the 8th Battalion, Middlesex thereafter until merging with the regiment's other Bns in 1961.

Was this worn between 1956 and 1961?

Jon

Default 8 Middx

Jon,

I cannot see it listed in Dress Committee Minutes or the Ordnance List of Changes.

Might it be a sports badge?

Stephen.
