Default PWRR badge

Good evening,

do you know why this brigadier wore a "Ranger" title above the PWRR tiger (Herrick 17 - 2012) ?

Specifically to show the Yanks you're not just allied to them but that you've not just worked with them, but are good enough to have gained a qualification THEY actually recognise and respect. Brit paras were encouraged to wear US para wings if they had earned them. It breaks down barriers/suspicions between forces, gives an entry.
Bear in mind the Brits were frequently dependant on Yanks for Intell, Choppers, Air Support etc
