It may be my old monitor and its colour balance, but the rank star looks like a post-War RA officer's example to me. And SAS 2/Lts must be few and far between. Mike

I would describe the pip backing as nearer the RAMC colour of dull cherry.

Is there any provenance with the tunic?

From the images I am of the opinion that the wing is a modern fake.

However I am unsure about the titles. To determine the originality of the titles the backs will need to be examined, but as they are sewn-on this cannot be done.

I suggest if the wing is fake then the titles probably are too.

Just my opinion and I wait to be proven wrong, Keith

The 2nd SAS title is also fake the colour should be maroon light blue and lettering is wrong.

I also think as part of the Army Air Corps pips should be light blue.

Cheerio,
JB

I don't like any of it..... wing is a modern copy IMHO, the pip should I'd agree be Blue, but I'd also think Infantry Red would be a likely contender (not so much RAMC cherry). The shoulder title doesn't look right either....

Default 2nd SAS BD

Friends,

Give this BD a very wide berth! None of it is correct, apart from the medal ribbons...

Cheers,

Johan
