3 Recent Tank Corps Badges
3 recent TC badges. The first is a broached cap badge. The remnants of the slider attachment is still seen at base of crown to the reverse. Second and third badges are collar's. The second being larger at 37 mm. Third is 30 mm.
Is the second badge a collar? Curious because of it's size. thanks Jack

Tank Corps
I believe that collar badges for officers came in several different sizes, bearing in mind that many OSD collars were the same size as cap badges during the Great War.

Hi Jack, the middle badge is a Firmin type collar, though saying that I only have right facing examples. One has a name on it hence the identification. J & Co produced a very similar badge which Jim Macdonald had an example that was worn as a cap badge, so take your pick. J R Gaunt went their own way and produced their quite different version. Someone in the '70's produced bi-metallic versions, presumably to match the variety of cap badges they were knocking out. Hope this helps Mike
