Default 3rd Hussars Long Horse.

Help on this please....I presume 3rd. Hussars but the size is 73mm x 40mm..
Too big for arm Badge I imagine...Pouch?

The tail on the horse is like that of the Royal Scots Greys back badge worn on the bearskin but that badge there is no ground under the horse.

Any thoughts on POW own Yorkshire anyone........?
It has been suggested that it could be a belt buckle badge as the two lugs are quite short.
any help appreciated..
