Great War Sailor's jumper
A recent find in a box of odds at a local auction. I thought that it was referred to as a "square rig" but a little bit of googling shows that it is actually a seaman's jumper. It is made of a rough linen and has the original owner's name marked according to Admiralty regulations. I have never seen an attributable Great War seaman's jumper offered for sale before so I am guessing that it must be a fairly scarce item. definitely a keeper.
