Seller does describe it as a WW2 Canadian parachute Regiment cap badge and therefore implies that it is original, oh dear!

Yes, and when I contacted him indicating it was a known, documented reproduction, he thanked me for my opinion.

Default Ambiguious Description Statements

The red flags should be flying high about this badge when the vendor cannot string more then four words together in a sentence and uses ambiguous description statements like, "I am not sure an expert on these items. I think they are original pieces but I am certain. I will let the buyer be the judge on their own from the pictures. This is a period original item."

Suitably vague. Anything could be a period original item.

I also sent the vendor a message about the badge, he could care less if it's real or not.

Perused the other offerings. A lot of reproduction material offered.
