Default LRDG - PRODUCTION RECESSED AREA

Hi, this is a general question out of interest. Is the recessed area on the back of this one a sign I think from what I read on a forum once; a mark of the casting process.

Simon.

The letters should be voided.

Rgds,

Thomas.

Hi Thomas, thanks for that. It's nothing I need to get on my list but was curious on the indent.

Thanks

Simon.
Simon,
Hope all is well.
I have seen at least 2 different recess 'styles'. Once my genuine one arrives, I'll email you a picture of the front and rear. I won't do it as a post as this will only help those who are making a living out of making copies......
Let me know your email address so that I can send a pic to you.
David

Simon,
And here are a x3 pics of one sold to me as absolutely genuine by a SF dealer expert.

I have also included x2 pictures of the front and back of a pair of fakes - just to give you an idea.

Just to clarify, the x3 pictures of the single (very goldish in colour) LRDG are of the badge from the SF dealer, whereas the x2 pics of the pair of badges are of x2 fakes. Note the recess. There are quite a few other details to watch out or as well - which have featured in a few posts on this forum.

Rgds, David
