One last go
And so it goes on.............I can’t think of the number of times I have seen him offer up this type of put together Special Forces crap........"Z" force??? mmmmm....
Check the name written in the hat in ball point pen!!!! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Z-Special...item3cbde6d2a9 Or his light horse artillery (Boer war of course) ceremonial brasses!!!! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2-x-L-Hor...item3a6bf05acf I am truly surprised at the lack of negative feedback he has received. I tried to ask a question through his listing but couldn't get through, has anyone else had this problem? Maybe I've been blocked? youwon12 = he lost |

Same here - he obviously is making it hard for people to contact him.
I'm not able to send him any messages.

Out of interest, I've had a reply. Asking if the Z force hat has provenance:
Service Record Name EVANS, ARTHUR THOMAS Service Australian Army Service Number NX151400 (N165391) Date of Birth 16 Sep 1920 Place of Birth MULLUMBIMBY, NSW Date of Enlistment 3 Mar 1943 Locality on Enlistment MULLUMBIMBY, NSW Place of Enlistment PORT MORESBY, NEW GUINEA Next of Kin EVANS, LEONARD Date of Discharge 3 Dec 1945 Rank Sergeant Posting at Discharge "Z" Special Unit So it must be real! |

Service records
This type of information is readily available on the 'National Archives of Australia' web site. You can knock together any combination of uniform parts you want, attribute them to the 'best fit' and spin a pretty good story around the finished item - names and O/Ns scrawled on sweat bands, dates of enlistment/demob, etc. . . . pick & choose what you want from the NAA site. I may be somewhat gullible some of the time, but presenting such potted histories, in my opinion, does not necessarily show provenance.
The hat may well be a goody . . . dunno. But the description and the picture of the item proves nothing one way or the other. This guy's record may be more telling. |

Just a quick reminder to 'Z Force' collectors. youwon12's 1940 version of the Z Force slouch hat didn't sell:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/260885993357 It has now been upgraded and re-badged to a 1960's version of the Z Force slouch hat and re-listed: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/260884058793 He's also decreased the price . . . even though this is a much newer Z Force hat. Anyway . . . Good bidding |

I have not bought from this seller but twice have written to him when he advertised an item. The first time I thought he just might be mistaken on a badge. The reply I got was downright offensive. I kept the email (on my other computer so I cant reprint here). Then he was selling another item for the Royal Australian Artillery of which I am a still serving member. I wrote to him advising of his 'mistake'. The answer I got was very nasty. The best we can do is just spread the word that this bloke is what we call shonky: Untrustworthy.
