Default LONDON BRIGADE -5TH RFA

Hi all, I wanted to run this by you all as I see these a lot in the UK Ebay; but as you would guess all re-strikes. I did a search on the forum but no one had or has posted anything like this one. The three lugs are positive I would think, as most I see have the two on the scroll alone.

Any comments are welcome.

Regards

Simon.

Thanks

Simon.

Hi Simon,

I rather like my example of the badge, its a spinning wheel type. They are on Gaylor plate 51 'additional volunteers and territorials' They were renamed from the 3rd Middlesex RGA Vols in 1908.

The badges are KK 822.

I do agree that your picture shows a dud, it has the characteristic dent in the end of the scroll.

Cheers

Phil

That's OK chap's. I didn't get it but was curious as it had three lugs as I mentioned in the post. It's not on my radar anyway, as if real it would only spark off another off shoot to the collection that would distract me.

Thanks again.

Mine also has three lugs and, incidentally, was an ebay lot.

I saw your update as I was about to reply but thought I would post anyway for reference.

And now my battery is about to die!

To clarify the 3 lug configuration is a mark of a fake badge.

Guess there's a few fakes going around because this is on a slider, but thought I'd post it for your reference
