CAT coin
Here is a challenge/competition coin for the Canadian Army Trophy (CAT).
The Canadian Army Trophy (CAT) was a tank gunnery competition established in 1963 until 1991. It was held in West Germany, in Bergen-Hohne and Grafenwöhr. Originally the competition was a static range, then progressed to a active "shoot to live" style.
Canada, Belgium, United Kingdom, France, Germany Netherlands and the USA provided teams for the competition. Canada won the cup in 1967 LDSH with a Centurion, 1977 with the RCD in Leopard C1, the Germans won the most cups, six in total.
The competition ended in 1991, but was reintroduced in 1997 as the CANAM cup between Canada and the USA, the CANAM cup stopped in 2003.
