Im no Manchester expert but again the number appears separate rather than one piece and if they are like Liverpool ones they should be stamped as one piece. There appears to be a lot of polish residue as well, but the stipples in the banner are unworn, which doesn't tally. Even some of my best looked after Liverpool ones show some smoothing on the stipples

The City Battalion WW1 Shoulder titles to the Manchester Regiment were NOT made in one piece.

The Outer Oval was the first piece and had tabs on its inner edge where the appropriate numeral 1-8 could be added.

They were all made that way, it made economical sense.

There are different types of rear fastenings.

The photos on the badge shown are too poor for me to make a positive opinion one way or the other and as you know polish can hide a lot.

regards

Apologies for the duff info on the numbers, I thought with them being broadly contemporary to the Liverpool ones and of similar design then they'd be one piece construction like the Liverpool titles. Always learning
