Royal Scots a/a with blade fittings
I've just bought an anodised Royal Scots badge with OSD style blades on the back. I've never come across this before with a/a badges - is this usual? The badge is definitely a/a, though it feels a tiny bit heavier.

Thanks - I'd not come across these before. Useful to know. It only cost me 99p, so no loss!

Although made by DOWLER perhaps marketed as part of the Danbury Mint set?

If not part of the Danbury mint collection, I assume these Dowler made badges were part of a collectors set of some sort? I'm fairly certain that the bladed type AA badges were not part of MOD issue as such (with the exception of the chaplains AA cap badges). Any further info on the origin at all? All the best Bess |
