Hello rmarsden,
Beautiful picture. Can you tell in which country was this photo taken ?, in France? I know the 224th Canadian Forestry Battalion, but what about the New Zealanders "foresters"? Merci Jean-Paul

This photo was part of a collection of press agency photos I sold some years ago, they had no descriptions on the reverse. They were all taken in France or Belgium. I believe the NZs may have worked alongside the Canadians and utilized the Chinese Labour Corps for moving the lumber to the front.
