Default DC/C12C metal title

I assume this is police?

Can anyone help decode this and what period would it have been worn?

Thanks in advance, Charlie

Not Police.

More like public transport.

"DC" is more likely to be "D....... Corporation" e.g. Dundee Corporation, Dublin Corporation or similar.

It is Dale Collecge Cadet Corps from South Africa. All the Cadet Corps had unique numbers .
The thinking is that it was worn in the 1930s .
A nice title .

Mike
