Default Gordon Highlanders badge
Hi there ,


Had this for years ,can some one tell me a bit more about it as it doesn't look standard issue .
Also trying to find out age ,and who and where worn ? (Bonnet /cap /sporran ???)

Its an Officers pattern badge, as far as I'm aware.

Judging by the lugs it is probably silver plated. It could also be a staff badge, used by senior NCOs, staff sgts and sgt majors. Lovely badge

Sorry, to add to the question you asked, it is a glengarry badge but the pattern was used since pre-1900 through to amalgamation so difficult to date. Very nice quality badge though, so likely WWII or earlier but that's the best guess.
