Could an expert confirm that the regimental colours of the Suffolk Yeomanry are red and green - as on the shoulder title LOYAL SUFFOLK HUSSARS (220 (Suffolk Yeomanry) Indep ATk Bty RA (TA))
Thanks, Mike |

The 202's belt colours... The Suffolk Yeomanry was a green stable belt with a red (maroon) line through the middle if I remember correctly.

Loyal Suffolk Hussars
Mike,
I believe you are correct. Griff's stable belt relates to the later 308 Suffolk & Norfolk Yeomanry Field Regt, RA I believe. The LSH Stable belt is green/red with a thin yellow line dividing them. Attached photos of LSH coloured FS caps (Officer & OR) which use the same colours. 55 Suffolk Yeo A/T Bty wore the LSH cap badge but on RA coloured FS caps. Cap badges can by found in gold gilt, OSD bronze, gilding metal, and bi-metal. Stephen. |
