Default Hellenic Army Aviation

Can anyone tell me whether this is a standard Greek Army Air Force patch, or if it was used in a UN operation, as it is in English?

Hi Steve,

What kind of ww1 french badges are you looking for ?
During ww1, french regiments were identified by numbered embroidered collar badges. Some exceptions for aviation and corps ...

Most of regimental enameled badges first appeared in the 30's.

Best regards .. Herve

Hi Steve,

Before 1914, you can find some information here ...
http://militaria.wwii.free.fr/doc/-b...fr/boutons.htm

To summarize, during ww1, each corps has his own button : Infanterie metropolitaine, infanterie coloniale, cavalerie, artillerie, chasseurs ...

Best regards .. Herve
