Jake Whitehouse
I was very sorry to learn this morning about the recent death of Jake Whitehouse.
Jake had a long association with the West Midlands Branch of the Military Historical Society being one of the Founders and he was the co-author with Guido Rosignili of the book "The Staffords" and also wrote a book on the WW1 camp on Cannock Chase. He also produced for many years a most interesting Branch Circular for the West Midlands MHS and more recently for The Stafford and District Military History Society. I always found his articles in the Circulars to be amusing and full of information. Attached is his article about his own experiences in the Parachute Regiment which is typical of Jakes style of writing. (Hope it is legible ) Sad to see another collector and military historian of the old school no longer with us. P.B.
