Default Rhodesia Staff Corps cap badge

Listed in Owen's (647) as Rhodesia Staff Corps, but I would like to know some other details- if possible - about this remarkably crisp badge: thank you in advance!

Have attached badge cards for interest. I try to do this for all the badges in the collection. Hope it is of use.

From what I've seen in photos Staff Corps officers wore the KC lion collar badge as cap badge while other ranks wore the larger badge with curved scroll.
Was that the general rule or the exception?

SRAF wore staff corps or RR badges early on in WW2 before adopting SRAF badges. When the SR air Unit was reformed in the late 1940s StC badges were worn until it became the SRAF again with its own badges.
