An indication of the expertise of some E bay sellers:
I sent this message to the seller of the Kings Own Cameron Highlanders shield: Hello, I have heard of the "Queens Own Cameron Highlanders" but never the "Kings Own Cameron Highlanders", Can you please tell me when they existed / Thanks This is the very helpful response I have just received: No idea it's what the plaque says? P.B.

I'm very much afraid that that's the standard of a lot of ebay sellers these days. Most haven't a clue what they are selling, do very little or no research and just don't care.
Mind you, this particular item opens up a whole new collecting field! |
