US Army Special Forces DUI
I was wondering why this US Army Special Forces beret DUI is so highly valued. Was the skull version only made during the Vietnam era?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Early-Specia...8AAOSwDKtY2H2B The skull refers to the scroll above the dagger, it appears to be two skulls looking at each other (took me a while to see it as well). Mike |

Mike,
The DI listed is an earlier version that would have seen use during the Vietnam war and a bit earlier. Collectors of these badges make a distinction. However both types with and without enamel would have been used during the war. In my opinion this badge is way over priced. You could find them for half of this at a military show here in the US. It is another example of hype over common sense. This badge will be sitting for a while. Jack
