These will be released from my "spares" album soon having languished there for probably 25-30 years. I would really appreciate an expert(s) opinion on age and authenticity. The donor of the printed signs said that they came from a former member of the Guards Indep Para Coy. The press studs on the embroidered, starch backed signs would indicate they were worn in the Middle or Far East. When they leave me they will be offered here first. I am aware that those who deal in fake/repro formation signs sometimes stitch them to a piece of BD material to hide the reverse and, maybe, add implied authenticity. Mike

I would not call myself an expert, but I do collect Airborne insignia and these all look good to me Mike.

Look to be two very fine original pairs iMO, I'll keep an eye out for the listing if I am not already too late.

I managed to pick up a single that appears to be very similar to the embroidered examples shown here by Mike. Other similar examples appear in Lock's book on the subject.

The embroided pair looks absolutely fine.
On the printed pair, I have doubts (the colour...). You need to see the reverse to form a better opinion.

The printed set looks fine to me. The weft or weave of the fabric is also running in the proper direction for period pieces.
