Default cloth sign on MK II helmet? 1st Division

currently for sale on ebay, a Mk II helmet complete with hessian sack cover, camouflage net and a cloth/leather 1st Division formation sign apparently stitched to the net. It is the very first time in my life that I have seen anything like this, and one could wonder what could the sense of having a thoroughly camouflaged helmet sporting a divisional sign that sticks out like a sure thumb (and a very good aiming point for snipers), but maybe they are evidences of such a practice? Thank you and all the best!

Hessian cover & scrim etc look new, the badge looks strange, the red of felt? Totally impractical, impossible to clean & the white triangle will turn a fetching shade of pink in the rain.
Also strange to have it on such headgear, let alone in the position it's in on the cover, which shows no wear at all.
Oh, & look who the seller is - all is explained.

On the plus side if you don't like the net you can take it off and you'll have a nice camera painted helmet.

lets say he has acquired some fame .... but he's pretty ingenuous. No wonder the helmet has already remained unsold once, though!
