Default Buttons

Hi guys , just been wading my way through lots of buttons and have 2 here that I can not identify, if anybody could help as usual I would be grateful !

The silver coloured button that looks like a man stranded at sea is made by Firmin London.

Many thanks.

I'm not aware that there is a difference, given that the beacon lighter image was used extensively on all buttons in the three material types commonly in existence. I suppose if you had a uniform that predated April 1941 and you had provenance that it was unaltered then you would have an answer. Beyond that it I would suggest that it would impossible to distinguish between OC from ROC buttons.
