Default 1 / Y / City of London brass title

Hi Guys,

I picked this up recently but am not able to find this exact title in Westlake's book.

1 / Y / City of London brass title

Does anyone have any information on when it was worn?

Regards,

Mick

Mick, this has been cut down from a T/Y/City of London brass title, a common practice amongst TF units.

A 2/1st City of London Yeomanry was formed in August 1914 so presumably the 1st/1st adapted their shoulder title show that they were the 1st.
