Default Strike Hawke

Found these two badges at a local event.
Looks like a pair.
One has a double maker stamp.
Read that there are copies out there.
Opinions?

I don't know, it isn't a bad striking but I don't like the lack of voiding around the legs. I have never seen these badges with that type of maker mark, it's usually a tablet. You need to have a close look and see if there is a full-stop between the 'Gaunt' and 'London' and measure the length of the mark. 15mm no good and full-stop is dodgy.
The lack of voiding is the main concern though but maybe they were less fussy with collar badges?
Cheers,
Alex

Being a facing pair I'd say officers collar badges. Very nice indeed.

Hi VS
I need to revise my earlier post. If you look in forum member Paddy's album; http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...ctureid=99471; he has a single HAWKE collar, also lacking the voiding around the legs, so I'd have to agree with Keith that you have a stunning pair of officer collars! OR's wouldn't have had collar badges so these would be pretty scarce.
Nice find.
Cheers,
Alex
