You are certainly in for a lot of fun but all the training is hard work as I'm sure you know.

We had these eight to cope with a few months ago! Glad we kept one of the pups though, she's a beaut!

I think hounds are difficult to train. They are slaves to their noses. Golden Retrievers are pretty eager to learn.
As much as I enjoy collecting badges, my dog trumps badges any day.

Phillip, you are so right! Hounds just don't want to be with you, they want to be off sniffing things out and then chasing them. Setters, Retrievers, Spaniels and so on all want to be with you, work with you and are so much more eager to learn. Well, I think so anyway!

Having had, in recent years, a Springer Spaniel, Labrador and now a Beagle (or two), I would go with the first two anytime!

If there are puppies around I'm going to have to insist on photos.

And yes pups beat badges. And most things, particularly men at the moment in my world

Anyway have fun with pupster.

Springer Spaniels are the most gentle and loyal of dogs. When mine went to the great kennel in the sky, I could never bear to have another dog.
