Interesting to see that the battle dress doesn't have the North Somerset/44 RTR cloth shoulder title, and the No1 blues, I take the NSY on conversion to RTR continued to wear NSY insignia, with RTR cap badge or NSY?

As I understand it the NSY amalgamated with 44th RTR but whether that made them an RTR regiment or a yeomanry one is unclear.
The War Office Dress Committee authorised the white metal title ‘NSY/44RTR’ for the regiment but the lower cloth title shown, similar to that worn since 1947 by the North Somerset Yeomanry exists although I have yet to find evidence of its use. The upper cloth title shown which also appears on Mike's battledress appeared when it became the North Somerset and Bristol Yeomanry in 1965 but I can find no official evidence of that either. Any further information welcome. Jon |

Thank you. That's the first confirmation I have seen that the NSY/44 RTR cloth title was worn. Very useful.
