Default Passing of Warren Carroll

I just wanted to let the members know that Warren Carroll passed away this morning.
Warren was a long time collector and historian of aviation.

Warren was a driving force behind the Canadian Society of Military Medals and Insignia. He served as President and was instrumental in moving the CSMMI through some tumultuous times a few years ago. He authored the standard reference on RCAF wings, Eagles Recalled. Warren was one of the authorities on Canadian Royal Flying Corps and Royal Canadian Air Force wings.
A wealth of information, it was always a pleasure to have a chat with him. He will be missed. Condolences to his family and friends. Another huge hole in the collecting fraternity.

Warren will be missed; he was always willing to give a helping hand where it was needed. Condolences to his family.

I didn't know the man or know of him but it's such a crying shame when anyone passes. My thoughts are with his family.

RIP.

Default Warren

I wonder if anyone knows what happened to Warren's collection. I was midway into a trade with him when he passed away, and was wondering if his family would like to complete it.

The collection has been sold by auction through JHA (Jeffrey Hoare Auctions). I think it has been dispersed.

Just got the catalogue for the Jeffrey Hoare Auction scheduled for the 24th Jun 2017. There are numerous lots in it from the Warren Carroll collection. They run from page 27 to page 34. Lots of wings and badges.
Good Luck
Don

The last 3 jeffery hoare auctions have had a number of badges + other items of Warren Carroll's in their auctions.

Just heard that the Sept auction at Jeffery Hoare Auctions Inc will be the last of the Warren Carroll collection. The collection will have spanned five auctions.

There is one last auction to come. It will be in the 1Q18 timeframe.
