Impressive picture - great array of different tunics and even Senior NCO slippers. Is the correct term shoulder scales that they are wearing?

I am advised that the horses together with the lack of medals on the senior NCO's dates the image to pre 1915.
A further source locates the image at the 1908 Summer Camp at Brighton, the year that cap badge was introduced. PeterA |
