Default RAF SWEETHEART

Hello. I am a new member to this forum and as i own a vast collection of Military Badges mainly from Great Britain, but also the Commonwealth as well, i thought i would like to show some of my collection and look forward to member’s feedback. I have mounted the vast majority of my badges but if any member would like to see the reverse of the badge i will do my best to show you. I have some rare English badges which if any member needs help if i have the badge i will show. Amongst my collection i have one badge that stands out an "RAF Sweetheart badge”, i have not seen this design before but i am sure other members have, i look forward to you replies.

Pete, welcome. I for one enjoy looking at other peoples collections (especially RAF), have you thought of making an album on the forum?

Hello Craig. Thank you for your comments i have removed the badge from my display and added a picture of the reverse, and also a close up of the badge. I have other RAF & PARACHUTE REG, AIR CADETS, SAS, RFC, and unknown to me insignia, i will start a Album and put them all together, or should i just post RAF Badges?.
Peter.

Hello Philip. Thank you for your comments, i have removed the badge and added more pictures. I have taken a very detailed close up picture of the badge, it looks like the centre inlay is enamel? which is hand painted, and as for the Crown i am unsure?, maybe you can help.
Peter.

Hi Pete,

Welcome to the forum and thank you for sharing this beautiful badge. It is hard not to get excited over some of these sweetheart badges, very beautiful and this one has some lovely colors too. Well done.

Cheers, Roy.

Pete, the albums put together here by forum members are very varied and a lot of them have been done i'm sure just for the sheer pleasure of it. In my opinion they always look better if there is some sort of theme to them - but that is your decision to make.
I'm sure you will have something interesting to share.

Hi Peter,

Look forward to your album. I agree with the other comments, creating an album is a great way to, not only share your collection but also enjoy it. I often check out my own albums when I need to check something. I also agree that creating a 'themed' album (in my opinion) works best. The moderators even let me put up an album of my Webley firearms..

Cheers, Roy.
