Default Shows what I know!

Gerard, Keith, Peter, Frank and Billy - gentlemen thank you for you interest and opinion. I am delighted that you think it is the real thing - and yes I had not realised it was anything other than a regular Middlesex cap badge.

I paid around £220 for about forty badges and having read a very learned article on fakes became convinced once the "ueens Own Oxfordshire Hussars" was clearly a fake that in the group may well be a few more. I could not understand why someone would mix up good and bad.

The mixture is curious with what appear to be some very nice examples of centre plates and unusual badges like this Middlesex Regt. The article on fakery referred to the 19th PWO Hussars as a prime subject for forgers. There are two examples in this batch!

I am happy to put them on the board but I don't want to clog up the section with items that are clearly good - like the case in question!

Anyway, thanks again gentlemen - and with your indulgence I will put up the two PWO elephants for your inspection.

Best regards

Andrew
