Royal Scots Fusiliers QVC badge
Evening All,
I got these two today, the collar badge has a lug missing, and the cap badge looks good to me, although it needs a clean, however I couldn't fill a postage stamp with my knowledge of the RSF. Would I be right in assuming its a Glengarry badge? Any help much appreciated. Regards, Steve

Hi Steve,
The collar badge is not for the RSF glengarry badge shown but for The Royal Scots Regiment. Both look good to me. Cheers, Tinto |

The applied Royal Arms and shape of the flame suggest an officers badge which has lost its gilding?

Thanks for the confirmation/clarification Tinto,
Thomas, thanks for stirring me into action and cleaning it (soft old toothbrush, warm water and a little washing up liquid) it is indeed gilded under the gunk. (Photos don't do it justice), it has brought out the detail a lot clearer on the front of the badge, I have left the rear as is. Closest I can find is KK931 Steve

Hi Steve
An excellent little piece, thanks for sharing it with us. Just one point which I hope will interest you ; the Officer's QVC badge is very rare in any condition, so congratulations on acquiring it. Regards Jeff |
