Default GQ parachute company 1944 ..something ??

..ok know idea folks hence the post. Stamped up 1944 GQ trial pattern, some type of bag ,chute ,bag..i dont know ..any ideas folks ?? had this for ages.

Is that part of the chute that comes out 1st, you see modern day parachutist let go of before pulling the main chute ?

Steve,
My first thought was the stabilising chute but it looks the wrong shape, it may be an early trial piece for the guide extension???

Cheers Paul , i have no idea , its been forwarded as a trial piece which has been officially approved and has been dated so it was introduced in 44...interesing item, be nice to pin it down to what part of the chute it is.
