Default WO2 (RQMS) Rank Badge - Which unit?

Hello,

A new one on me, white on a dark blue.

Anyone know which Regiment/unit would have worn this?

regards

RAEC ??
Pre 1962 (obviously going by the crown) before they lost the non commissioned officers in 1962.

Similar to ATC Cadet WO. Perhaps early Battle Dress rank? Regards, Paul.

I was going to say 'Air Cadets' from Canada [and the UK?]. Prety sure chums of mine wore this in the palmy days of my youth [1960-70s].

Default ATC Cadet Warrant Officer

The K/C version is I believe an ATC Cadet Warrant Officer worn immediately post WWII and worn until around 1947/8 when the backing was changed to RAF blue/grey.

At the risk of being cheeky, if it is outside your particular sphere of collection, I would be very happy to give it a home!!

Sorry blueboy but it is NOT ATC. The ATC Warrant Officers badge was as shown below. It became the Cadet WO badge in the late 1950s when the Adult badge was replaced by a Single large Crown (without Wreath) and the Cadet badge changed to a similar badge to the one shown in the the 1960s/70s. They were only worn on blue/grey backgrounds until the 1972 background change to Dark Blue and only with a Queens Crown.
