Default Suffolk / Lincolnshire - ??

Hi

What do we think of these?

They came along with some other (good) badges today.

This Suffolk is smaller than my others Suffolks, and without braze-holes? Doesn't look like any I've seen. Collar? out-and-out fake?

The Lincolnshire has a slightly different design to the one i have, but might be ok?

Cheers,

Colin

I'd be more concerned if the badge on the right had a Suffolk scroll as it is a Royal Sussex badge !
As it is, both look fine to me, obviously both have clipped sliders (this has probably been done deliberately by the original wearers so that the badges sit better on the hat on which they were worn)

LOL - it's been a long day!
I meant Sussex

By why is 5% smaller than my other Sussex's?
What period would this be from?

So you reckon they're ok, then?

Colin

Hi Colin,
The smaller Sussex badge is most likely a cast badge and there is usually some "shrinking" in the process. This has been discussed in a previous thread.
Cheers, Tinto
