1st Division Insignia
First pair, both insignia white felt on red felt: I guess they are WWII, am I wrong? Second pair: a couple of uncut Bevo white triangles on red, presumable vintage? Two different pairs of 1st Division Signals: both authentic, or is the round onemade up? Thank you for your attention!

1st Div
I think the first pattern were made of white leather on a red felt triangle. Probably a unique method of manufacture in WW2.

The 1st Div sign on a black square or circle was brought up in the FS recently - no answer forthcoming yet. I bought mine as RASC to the division, but have no confirmation of this. 1 Div was a real oddball - here's one that I have. Apparently mobile elements of the RAMC within the division, the static elements having a square backing. No confirmation...

and the second is a lovely epaulette slip on, with a white triangle backed in red (infantry) and a brass Loyals shoulder title on a red tab: any hints about the significance of the red tab?

The loop is...
The red loop below the "Loyals" title is a company indicator. Somewhere I've a list; I'll try and find it.

thank you Rolfi, I'd be very grateful if you could, because this was my guess too, but I can't really say what company the red strip could refer to....

Hi, some more, the Bevo is, I believe, of the mid-war period, the two slip-ons are Italian theatre and the armoured is late 40's. The ones on a round backing are late or post-war. I once saw a nurse's jacket, badged lining, and some of these were in the pocket. Mike.

1st Division Signals
Here come the insignia sewn to the sleeve of a BD blouse badged to a major of the Royal Signals in the 1st Division. The combined device is a leather white triangle sewn on a blue cloth diamond. Any hints about its vintage? The BD blouse being a 1937 pattern tailor made hasn't got any dated tag for obvious reasons...
