Default AAS07 - Gordon Boys School

Hi Guys,

I need to confirm if the images of the Gordon Boys School are correctly rotated i.e. they look right in relation to being 'straight'. The 'banner' with GORDON on appears to run slightly uphill when looking from left to right and I think this is how it should be.

Is this correct?

If not can you advise if I should rotate to the left or right and by how much.

Regards

Chris

Chris,
looks like a fault in the die but only the top right of the upper edge of the banner, the rest appears symetrical?

Thanks Guys,

With respect to my two images - if you were to view them in a book would you consider the images to be 'straight' on the page or a bit crooked?

At the moment I think they are correct but I need confirmation that this is the 'right way up' to view such badges?

Regards

Chris

Chris,
images look fine, you'll never get this one spot on as there is a slight die fault!

Merry Christmas

I would imagine the correct way to wear this one is with the GORDON banner horizontal. The reason it looks wrong is that there is a tendency to use the top of the badge as the straight edge which is wrong.

Hi Chris
A few straight lines with a paint program may help to show you if the picture is rotated correctly, i did this with ms paint but you need something a little better with a single/multi degree rotation to correct it.

Hi All,

This is a Gordon's Medal ... (Was Gordon Boy's Home, then Gordon Boys' School) .. now the design is quite similar.

No, it's not mine. I wasn't a good boy then *cough* ..... - but I did go to GBS.

Thanks Anthony,

I have a feeling that if the medal was leveled using the clasp attached to the medal and the design on the lower scroll that the word 'GORDON' and the box it is in would run slightly uphill from the 'G' to the 'N'.

Chris
