I would like to do more but this is what I am doing about the problem...

On each eBay listing there is an option to "Report Item". This link is lower on the listing, on the right side in line with postage details.

The Report Item link provides the viewer an opportunity to state the item is a Fraudulent Listing.

I have started making a report whenever I find an obvious fake that the seller states as original.

If fellow collectors make Fraudulent Listing reports, sooner or later, eBay will take note but don't hold your breath.

I believe by continuing to share information and point out the fakes and fake-sellers then we are doing as much as practicable to reduce the impact on fellow collectors.

Just my opinion...Keith

Default STEER CLEAR

I reported the item and contacted the seller. Fortunately for me, he blocked me from buying from him straight away ...

I bought a bugle with a ridiculous story attached to it from him years ago. Months later a similar one with the same specific story was listed. I pointed this out to him and he blocked me, so I've never had the chance to properly review his wares. And the icing on the cake was that the cord was moth infested and they destroyed it over the next few months.
