1st Construction overseas battalion
Hello everyone,
I retrieved this Canadian Cap badge of the N° 1 CEF Construction battalion. These men were "Professionnals" public works of the period 1914-18: Roads, railways, trenches, various works in only one word "the kings of the shovel and pickaxe, etc" essential for the victory of the allies but obscure workers without too much Glory necessarily. I can not find information in the war diaries on the presence and the life of this battalion in our sector (Hauts de France and Belgium ...) Would anyone have it? Thank you in advance. Jean-Paul |

Hi Jean-Paul, the badge appears to be small for a cap? Measurements please.

Thanks JP. From the measurements it appears to be a cap badge.
Have you accessed the LAC War Diaries? http://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/discove...r-diaries.aspx
