Default 32 Signals (Scottish) Officer's Badge

I have had some information kindly shared with me about this badge so I want to clarify why I refer to it as a 32 Signals officers badge. So here are a few pictures of said officers wear it on their Glengarry's with a piece of Grant tartan behind it.

I always appreciate kind information and advice of my errors so no offense is ever taken, and I appreciate the member reaching out to me.

Terry

As far as I know it was also worn by pipers.
Cheers,

"British Army Badges" by Lt Col R Hodges, published 2005 shows a badge 5 cm x 6.5 cm similar to but not the same as the centrepiece of the badge, without saltire as being worn by Pipers.
32nd Signal Regiment sponsored the Corps volunteer pipe band.

Im not having an issue delivering a baby, so it's not "breech". All images removed from the two posts.

Gentlemen, thank you for all of the information and replies. All very helpful.

Chris, as Mike said, that is indeed an excellent reference, and I had no idea there were so many badges for this unit!!! I too have saved it for reference. Is that your collection?

Here are a pictures of OR with the saltire tartan backing on the beret, cadets who also wear the badge, and a veteran.

Thank you again everyone!

Looks like the female Cadet on the right has fell victim to a passing pigeon

Terry, I owe you an apology, I had always thought that it was only the pipers who wore those badges but clearly the officers wear that pattern too. My blunder, sorry about that mate.

The pipers wore their own ToS badges and it was not until much later that 32 SR officers dropped the beret and started to wear the ToS with their officers badges. In the 1980s and 90s the officers wore berets with embroidered badges.
