Default RND badges thoughts required

hi all
i've just been offered the following badges.
they are from the sterling auction sale.
my thoughts are that the only good one is the HAWKE but RND is not an area i'm particularly strong in.
any thoughts or feedback appreciated
cheers

Images are not the best, I like the top row, but the MG, Hood and Nelson look wonky!

Agree, the top row looks ok but the rest look wrong

Hood - "Steady" & "Hood" fonts look too thin and the lugs are in the wrong place

Howe - Looks cast

Nelson - Front looks reasonable apart from the straight first N of Nelson and the lack of voiding around the pennant at the top. There are some Nelson badges around with the straight N that are considered genuine but I'm not a fan of this one especially when looking at theback, the lugs just don't look right.

Anson - At the top of the coronet there is a thick band across the top with 2 curves, below this there is a straight band above the jewels. On the genuine badges these 2 bands almost touch where the thicker one dips down, on the copies there tends to be a gap as in the one you have posted.

MGC - A lot of debate about this one but I'm not a fan of your version due to the way the RND title is attached and lack of evidence of lugs having been removed from the title scroll.

Hawke & Officer's badge look right - Officer's badge alone goes for approx £100

Is there any chance of seeing clearer pictures of the top 2 badges?

Many thanks for the extra pics. Having now had a chance to look at the Hawke badge compared to my own and pictures I have of other good ones I am now going to do an about turn and side with Keith on this one, I don't think it is right either. There are quite a few subtle differences on the front and the base of the lugs is a bit suspect as well. I wouldn't be surprised if the lettering on the Gaunt tablet is crisp and uniform.

The officer's badge looks the best bet but the majority of good ones I have seen including the 2 I have in my own collection tend to have a rougher back than the one shown, the one you are being offered has a very smooth back. Putting it together with the rest of this collection I would err on the side of caution and avoid it as well.

I have attached a couple of pics of the front of what I consider to be a good Hawke and the back of a good officer's badge, the blades on mine have been shortened and drilled to take a split pin.

BC ,
Having now seen the close up images, I would give this whole purchase opportunity a miss!
