Default Odd Way To Wear A Cap Badge-Thoughts?

Hi Chaps,

So I thought I would share one of my latest KSLI related photographs for interest and comments. A nice image of the cap with ear flaps (what date were these again?) but more to the point it appears to be he has 'tucked' the bow of his cap badge inside the cap! Quite odd and not something I have seen before, so wondered if anyone else has?

Probably little more than a peculiarity of this gent's personal dress but thought it odd enough to share.

Cheers, Roy.

The "top knot" could be broken off?

Hi Leigh,

That did cross my mind but in looking at the image enlarged it does appear that the 'bow' of the badge is indeed 'tucked-in' to the cap. At least to my eyes

Here is another pic.

Cheers, Roy.

Yes, I saw what you mean, the "ghost" of the knot perhaps from inside or outside? And possibly a cut of suitable width? Slider broken off, just stuck the knot in to hold the badge in place?

Considering the width of a standard 'knot' on one of these badges I would expect to see some sign of a hole for it fit into if it had been tucked into the cap, but there is no sign of that. I think it has just broken off and there is a slight wear mark where it used to be.
Cheers,
Alex
