What's unusual about this badge please?
How does it differ from the norm?

Leigh, The badge has a normal rivet fixing at the top and there would be one at the bottom under the slider but it has 2 at the bottom left & right. I have not seen this type of fixing before on a RE badge or any other come to think of it.

Jerry.

Question

Thanks.
It looks like it has small markers higher up as well, although no holes punched through?
I have a R A HUGHES LTD badge with rivets as per the badge shown but also two more, higher up.
Also one with two rivets either side and two more holding on the anod. al. slider.
Another badge just with the rivets top and bottom, the top one holding the brass JR GAUNT LONDON slider.
And a one piece badge, anod. al. slider. no rivets.

"RA HUGHES LTD" badge, with 5 x rivets.

"T&S" with 6 x rivets, 2 of which affix the slider.
(I had thought that the slider was unmarked but have just seen that it has lettering a millimetre or two high. I think that the slider is of aluminium).

A one piece badge, no rivets, black painted for NI.

"JR GAUNT LONDON", 2 x rivets, one holding on the brass slider, the other bottom centre of the wreath, black painted for NI.

Cheers leigh, I will have to look at my RE badges closely now and probably need to hunt for more to add.

Having now taken a close look at my RE badges, I can now say that I have the badges listed above by leigh with the addition of a "T&S with 6 rivets and a BRASS slider.
The FIRMIN badge in the first post I will have to hunt for maybe at Yate this week end.
