Default Made under MOD License - What??

Whats this all about??

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MANCHESTE...cAAOSwP4FaFKc7

"MOD License: Your item purchase is manufactured and sold under Ministry Of Defence license which gives you the added security of knowing your item is not a rip off overseas piece of junk but is an item manufactured in the United Kingdom under MOD approved license. You may in fact find much cheaper versions of this online but I guarantee you they are overseas rubbish not licensed and therefore regularly not accurate either. You are warned if your looking away from this site to remember cheap prices means cheap production and cheap materials"

I'm normally mild mannered and mellow extremely polite very rarely swear and I am a very competent speller.

However, having seen this, I must utter the following, "What a load of bollox".

Please notice the spelling......................it's a London dialect.

Regards.

Brian

Well I say, that's a nasty MOD to change fittings without giving notice to ebay sellers. Still it's jolly nice for the MOD to license the dies and tools, why would you want to go through those expensive badge manufacturers, sealed patterns, samples, etc, when any Tom Dick or Harry with a licensed set of dies can drop stamp them in their backyard workshop.

Better still you could issue a set of dies to every battalion or unit wearing that badge and they could make their own from flattened range produce, that'd keep the troops busy when they ran out of rocks to paint!

I think that I'd rather pay a little more and get an original example.

It did make me smile with the claim that the 25th Gurkhas was licensed by the MOD!!MOD were nothing to do with the IA of that period..
