Default Origins of the 1911 - 1956 NZ Engineers badge by Lieut-Colonel A R Currie

A few years ago Dave Cash of the Wellington Militaria Collectors club supplied me with the personal papers/documents that belonged to Lieut-Colonel A R Currie who was Chief Engineer of the NZ Engineers.
Among the documents was the Origins of the 1911 - 1956 NZ Engineers badge.
Sadly I have not had time to post it on this forum, but if there is someone who has a very good understanding of 'NZ Volunteer Engineering badges' I am happy to pass on the information.
